GameOn and LALIGA North America Partnership

Fantasy sports platform GameOn has recently announced its partnership with the Spanish football league LALIGA to develop Web3 games specifically for players in the US and Canada. This exciting collaboration between GameOn and LALIGA North America aims to offer fantasy games based on real-world LALIGA players and matches.

Expanding Fan Engagement and Exclusive Prizes

With this partnership, fans not only have the opportunity to enjoy immersive fantasy gaming experiences but also a chance to win exclusive prizes. These prizes include signed merchandise, VIP tickets, meet-and-greets with players, and even cash rewards. GameOn CEO Matt Bailey remarked that this significant announcement “signals a new era for GameOn” as they continue to enhance fan engagement through their innovative gaming products.

LALIGA will be actively promoting these fantasy games during various in-stadium events, watch parties, and across their social media platforms, apps, website, and email communications. This strategic collaboration aims to connect with fans in a unique and interactive way, maximizing their overall enjoyment of LALIGA matches.

Future Partnerships and GameOn’s Tech Capabilities

Looking ahead, GameOn plans to establish more “meaningful relationships” with other major leagues. The CEO has expressed confidence in securing several new partnerships in the coming months. GameOn is a publicly listed technology company renowned for building non-fungible token (NFT)-based games, predictive gaming, and fantasy products.

The company’s capabilities extend to the entire stack of NFT creation, minting, and gamification. Through their partnerships with Polygon and Hedera, GameOn has successfully launched games on these platforms. Notable partners of GameOn include NBCUniversal, Bravo, PFL, Karate Combat, the WNBA, Times Internet, DICK’S Sporting Goods, and Gaming Society.

League Prioritizes Fan Engagement

LALIGA North America CEO Boris Gartner emphasized the league’s priority of connecting and engaging with fans across different platforms and products. With GameOn’s innovative technology, the audience can now interact with their favorite clubs and players “like never before.” This partnership enables LALIGA to offer unique and immersive experiences for their dedicated fanbase.

LALIGA North America, a joint venture between LALIGA and sports media company Relevent Sports, holds exclusive representation of the football league in the US, Canada, and Mexico for all commercial and development activities. LALIGA operates two main competitions: LALIGA EA SPORTS, consisting of 20 prominent clubs including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Sevilla FC, and LALIGA HYPERMOTION, Spain’s second division competition featuring 22 teams.

With a global community of over 200 million fans across 17 platforms and in 20 different languages, LALIGA has a vast and diverse audience. They have amassed a tremendous following of over 2.8 billion global fans and boast 90 media partners in more than 180 territories worldwide.
