KuCoin Labs Invests in Bitcoin Ecosystem Development

KuCoin Labs, the corporate VC arm of the KuCoin ecosystem, has recently made a strategic investment to further the development of the Bitcoin ecosystem. The investment platform has chosen to partner with Dovi, a smart contract platform for Bitcoin Layer 2, aiming to achieve significant milestones in its growth. According to Lou Yu, the chief of KuCoin Labs, “KuCoin Labs will continue to assist Dovi in achieving its pivotal milestones, including product innovation, market expansion, and enhancement of user experience.” This strategic investment showcases KuCoin Lab’s dedication and belief in the long-term development of the crypto industry.

KuCoin Labs has a track record of investing in early-stage projects to contribute to sustainable growth in the crypto space. Additionally, the platform has established a dedicated fund to support BTC-native projects, showing its commitment to the Bitcoin ecosystem. As part of this commitment, KuCoin Labs has extended an invitation to other BTC-native projects to apply for financing or incubation through their official website. “We welcome other BTC-native projects to fill the application form through the official website for financing or incubation purposes,” the company stated.

In collaboration with VAIOT, KuCoin Labs launched the Digital Assets Regulation Institute (DARI) in April. DARI serves as a platform for industry-led efforts to promote regulatory clarity and coherence. It offers advisory services for ventures seeking regulatory approval, with institutional partners serving as advisors. This initiative demonstrates KuCoin Labs’ dedication to establishing a supportive ecosystem for the crypto industry as a whole.

Furthermore, KuCoin Labs has launched a $100 million fund specifically dedicated to early-stage metaverse projects in 2021. The company aims to fuel innovation and contribute to the development of this emerging sector within the crypto industry. With a diverse portfolio comprising over 50 projects including Ankr, MultiVAC, Arweave, CertiK, OneLedger, and LUKSO, KuCoin Labs continues to support and nurture the growth of promising ventures.
