The Increasing Price of Bitcoin and the Possibility of Approving a Spot Bitcoin ETF

Bitcoin Continues to Rise

The price of Bitcoin has been on the rise as the deadline for companies to file S-1 forms for Bitcoin spot ETFs passed this morning. The SEC’s submission deadline has passed, and all issuers, except for Hashdex, have submitted their updated S-1 forms. Grayscale, on the other hand, submitted an S-3. Companies like BlackRock, Ark Invest/21Shares, VanEck, WisdomTree, Invesco, Fidelity, and Valkyrie have all submitted revised S-1 forms, which marks the last stage before a possible approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF. The SEC now has until January 10th to determine whether to approve or deny Ark 21 Shares’ application. It is also possible that all suitable final applications could be approved by that date.
