Carl Erik Rinsch, the director of the movie “47 Ronin,” has been accused of misusing around $60 million provided by Netflix for a sci-fi series. The New York Times reports that Netflix gave Rinsch over $55 million and granted him significant creative freedom, but no finished episodes were delivered. Instead, Rinsch allegedly used a large portion of the budget to invest in stocks and cryptocurrencies, while also splurging on cars, furniture, and designer clothing. The information was revealed through cast and crew members, emails, and court filings from Rinsch’s divorce case.
