The Future of Solana ETFs in the United States

Expert Opinions on Solana’s Potential

Crypto investor and trader, Brian Kelly, recently discussed the possibility of Solana becoming the next cryptocurrency to have a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the US. On CNBC’s ‘Fast Money’, Kelly, CEO of BKCM Digital Asset Fund, highlighted Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum as the leading contenders for this cycle. He emphasized, “You’ve got to think about Solana as probably the next one.”

Brian Kelly: “You’ve got to think about Solana as probably the next one. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana are probably the big three for this cycle.”

Contrary to Kelly’s optimism, Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store, expressed doubts about a spot Solana ETF materializing soon. He believes that regulatory milestones need to be met before this can happen. James Seyffart, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg, echoed this sentiment, foreseeing potential delays in launching a spot Solana ETF due to regulatory complexities.

Nate Geraci: “A spot Solana ETF might not materialize until a Solana futures product is listed on a major exchange or until Congress establishes a clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum.”
